Clawless Hawk Flies in Skies of Mercy

 

Crim-shank diesel-damn plowed

through essence of human strife

 

Jewel of ampersand pearl of life’s cradle nearly

snatched from earth’s bond.

 

Tripping fields displace happiness

and receive life’s end

 

Only to grasp onto every thread,

which harnesses core to soul and soul to heaven,

sin committed in matrimony with suicide

 

Stopped by joy of the pen, family, friends,

doom of easel existence flared by crypt-envy,

deluged by innocence of a hand which does not end

 

Hawk-loom softens core and breathes shamanic

air into life-bred illness, which only speaks three words

 

Coral knife lethargy bundles under trees of grief

but are relinquished by knuckles of mercy

 

Compounding simplicity settles on the tongues

of sweat while burdening rivulets of orchid horns
