Cortex with Coriander Intelligence by Adam Levon Brown

Cortex with Coriander Intelligence

Cortex submerged with thoughts of serenading

cricket-shift patio-shine

Dancing neophytes plague stages of life,

while bending to iron sanctimony

Dismal feelings replaced by court-fizzle

discographies which listen and make no sound

Choreography tilted on its side to expose

dancers who light brittle hallway of dust

Coriander grimace perforates wind

while swimming in rivers of epiphany confusion

Doll-house perforation creates

sequence ignited by cortisone

Deliverance offered reeked

of boiled cobweb death.

Respite offers new hope while birches

lurk behind eyes of innocence

Treason of body leads to broken spirit

and heart filled with germination

Hope is a 4 letter word whose meaning

has quelled in the fires of ice-driven kilns
