Four Haiku by Mitchell Grabois

Tomato seeds sprout

They flower, fruit, impart peace

ask: how can we serve?

Airless pink balloon

has rested in the Ash tree

by the lake all Spring

The tenacity

of Ego is impressive

but Sky is endless

Cormorant swims toward

a lone, broad-winged pelican

as the sun rises
